What’s Happening

Our beautiful South San Pablo is at risk of changing. The new owners of the Allstate building are submitting an application to rezone the Allstate office campus, allowing them to build warehouses, apartments, multifamily homes, and MORE! For those of us who live in this area, we know how important maintaining the beauty and integrity of South San Pablo- these uses are NOT aligned with the character of our area!

Let’s protect South San Pablo and stop Allstate. Join the effort and say NO to this proposed development plan change!

OCTOBER 2024 Update

Our attention is needed regarding the Allstate PUD hearings just scheduled by the City. We only learned about this from an article in the Jax Daily Record. Unfortunately, no public notice signs were posted until this weekend.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Planning Commission meeting on 11/21 and the LUZ Committee meeting on 12/3. It’s crucial we show up and let City officials see we oppose adding new uses and traffic at our busy interchange.

You can also email the City’s reviewer Bruce Lewis at blewis@coj.net and our Councilman Will Lahnen at WLahnen@coj.net to express your concerns. Let’s make it clear that we don’t want Mayhem at Allstate!

AUGUST 2024 Update

More alarming news—new plans and a rezoning application have been submitted for the Allstate campus. The developer is still pushing  to add 250 multi-family residences and 20,000 square feet of retail .

All this added density would be on top of the existing 190,000 square feet of eight-story and five-story connected office buildings.

The site plan shows 13 buildings for multi-family and townhomes, a massive parking structure overlooking Pablo Creek Reserve, retail buildings, and even more surface parking.

STAY INVOLVED! Be on the lookout for City hearing dates to attend, oppose, and PRESERVE SOUTH SAN PABLO. We can’t let this happen without a fight!
